initial salesThe Dyna-Cam Engine will initially be sold to the homebuilt experimental market. Typical contacts from potential customers have indicated a dozen different aircraft kit builders that are discussing aviation purchases of engines in lots of five to 100, although none of these discussions have led to any binding agreements to date. Attendance at either week-long air shows of Sun N' Fun or Oshkosh may result in purchase orders for engines. We believe the homebuilt and experimental segments of general aviation is the appropriate market to target with this new engine technology because special benefits for the user could increase market demand and expedite commercialization. Over the last fifteen years, General Aviation has had a downturn in overall production and sales which, as suggested by NASA, will be revitalized if a new powerplant is made available. (See http://www.lerc.nasa.gov/www/pao/pais/fs01grc.htm) The Company hopes to sell this powerplant to authorized dealers or individual owners that want to improve the performance of their planes and are willing to fly under an ``experimental" rating. There are currently many existing aircraft that could use the Dyna-Cam engine on this basis. NASA formed the Advanced General Aviation Transport Experiments (AGATE) Consortium in 1994 and is changing the face of general aviation related aircraft. One important conclusion made by AGATE was that what was needed for general aviation revitalization was a revolutionary new powerplant.
